our Weavers Community
Pable embraces a community of weavers from Karangrejo Village, East Java. Small but impactful, we increased the productivity rate to 22%, reactivated weaving machines, and revitalized irrigation system in the village.
After our collective effort to map local issues and problems, we managed to revitalized a dormant water spring in Karangrejo Village. The water irrigates local rice fields that has been the backbone of the economy for the society.
This action helped us to understand the concept of Tanah Air; Tanah (soil) who provides and Air (water) who brings life. The future of it is in our hands. This is why every strand of Pabtex is precious for both the community and nature.
OUR IMPACT
Producing new clothing takes approximately 700 gallons of water for just one shirt*
In contrast,
recycling 500kg of fabric only consumes 5-40ml of water.
This fact is a reflection of Pable’s principle of sustainability.
