Last weekend, Pengembak Beach in Bali hosted one of the most prestigious design events in Indonesia, Jia CURATED 2026. Jia CURATED is a five-day celebration of craft, design, and culture —bringing together makers, designers, architects, and communities through exhibitions, installations, talks, and immersive experiences in Bali. Held from 13th to 17th August, Jia CURATED brought the theme of “Nature Weave”, emphasised the interwoven relationship between human and the natural world. Central to this theme is the idea of biophilia; the instinct to reconnect with what is natural, grounding, and alive. When nature is thoughtfully integrated into our environments, its impact extends far beyond aesthetics —it can foster the bond between humans as the participant in a shared environment and nature as the ecosystem.
This year Jia CURATED hosted architectural design exhibitions, home products showcase, art performance, and many more. Bringing together 150+ local and international exhibitors and over 250 participating brands, the showcase spans disciplines from product design to architecture, construction, materials, art, and landscape. The architecture exhibition presents maquettes by 25 studios from Indonesia and wider Asia. There is also a brand new activation of Jia’s project initiative, “Benih”. Benih —meaning seed in Indonesian— is a new project by Jia CURATED launching at Jia CURATED 2026, as a platform for planting ideas, collaborations, and creative relationships. The multiphase programme involves Indonesia, Japan, and Taiwan. Pable had the honour to support the Benih project by providing our Pabtex for the Benih project booth.
Pable also came as a panelist for the international-scale talkshow on Friday, 14th August, where Pable’s founder Aryenda Atma talked about textile innovation among other panelists from the sustainable and innovative textile industry. Aryenda Atma shared about the concerns regarding textile waste and what can we do about it, the birth of Pable, the challenges we faced this past 6 years, and what the future holds for us.
