World Expo, officially known as International Registered Exhibitions, is an international gathering that aims to provide a platform for collaborations, connections, and innovations between nations. It is regulated under The Bureau International des Expositions (BIE). The themes follow a range of solutions to urgent challenges of our time. Since its first conception in 1881, World Expo has been the birthplace of so many scientific, technological, economic, and social progress. World Expo 2025 Osaka-Kansai is currently taking place in Japan, after it had been held in the same city 55 years ago.

Expo 2025 Osaka-Kansai opened its gates on 13 April, bringing along the theme “Designing Future Society of Our Lives” for six months ahead. Heavily inspired by Japanese culture that sees life in every living and non-living being, the theme welcomes the idea that the life we are designing is not just for human beings but also in a broader sense of nature that surrounds us.

158 countries & territories and 7 international organizations are participating in Expo 2025 Osaka-Kansai, where each has their own pavilion including Indonesia. Pable was honored with the opportunity to be one of many businesses representing Indonesia this year. Pable was available as a rolling exhibition from 16th – 22nd June.

Our Founder and CEO, Aryenda Atma, acted as our representative to introduce Pable out to the world in the Indonesia Pavilion. Pable brought along samples of Pabtex, product catalog, and the end product from our collaboration with Brillington & Brothers and Ki.Basic. Every item we brought should be able to reflect Pable’s goal; which is to be a Circular Solution in facing textile waste issues. Moreover, Pable also brought along our collaboration items with Brillington & Brothers and Ki.Basic to encourage collaboration between brands with the same values – sustainability and appreciation of artistry.

Pable arrived in Expo 2025 Osaka-Kansai with the hope of bringing our spirit of sustainability to the world, as well as offering solutions to the pressing matter of textile waste. Since Expo 2025 Osaka-Kansai is a global event looked forward to by the international communities, the aim is to spread the word to as many people as possible, from all across the globe. The results are better than expected. We received good responses from global and Japanese visitors. So many were amazed by the existence of a recycling industry in Indonesia – moreover from the textile sector, because apparently Japan has the same problem related to fast fashion and textile waste. Now that the door to collaboration and connection is widened, Pable is ready for more exciting adventures ahead.
